#Montreal police to speak to press at 10:30 about #Magnotta case developments.
Montreal police say they believe the suspect and the victim knew each other.
Police have received 200 pieces of information about the suspect (Magnotta) from the public.
Victim was a Chinese national, he had no family in Canada.
Montreal police: victim did have a relationship with the suspect
Montreal police: all I can tell you know is Magnotta left Montreal, he may have returned under another identity
Police: Magnotta has 3 different identities

Police: There's a lot of info circulating through social media and on the web, but our focus is on finding the suspect
Police: The alleged email to The Sun newspaper is not our focus, our focus is finding the suspect.
Police: We do have a good lead. He left for Europe and we have images from the crime. Based on all the information we have, we hope to be able to find the suspect. Media around the world have circulated his photograph
Police: I'm very hopeful all the international assistance will help put him [Magnotta] behind bars.
Police: If public has info about things that happened before the crime, we'll deal with that, but it's not our top priority at this point
Police: We're very much aware of what's going on [on the web]
Police: When there's a victim, normally we contact the family and that's where we get infomation...but we have very little information on him at this point.
Police: We know that the body parts are connected, but we do need to do DNA testing
Police: We have some info from the airport that we're keeping to ourselves at this point. Sometimes we do have to keep some information confidential.
Police are keeping some details to themselves but here's what they did say:
- victim and suspect did know each other
- Although it's not 100% confirmed (waiting for DNA test), the police are fairly certain the victim is Jun Lin, 33, who was studying at Concordia University.
