Rob Ford found guilty in conflict of interest case
Mayor Rob Ford is expected to quickly launch an appeal after a Toronto judge found him guilty of contravening conflict of interest rules and has ordered that the mayor be immediately removed from office.
The judge's ruling doesn't take effect for 14 days.
The decision by Judge Charles Hackland, issued on Monday morning, found that Ford contravened the city’s conflict of interest rules and as a result must be removed from his elected position.
